Mojo Challenge!

So like i mentioned yesterday i've been having some mojo issues.
To try and kick start it again i decided to join in with some of my favorite challenges.
Compendium Of Curiosities where the lovely Linda has picked 'Rusted Grunge' page 45.
And Simon Says Stamp'n'Show where they wanna see 'Your newest stamps'
I got the ever so lovely Stempelglade 'Grunge Collection' for christmas, so i used 2 of the flowers and the little splatter from the set.

As you can see i decided to rust up a birdcage, I hadn't originally planned to have no bars but i got a bit carried away heating and then rubbed to soon and the grunge all snapped at the bottom, I remembered i had an AS phrase stamp that would work perfectly so i decided to tear the bars out completely and put the phrase in the gap.
I stamped Tim's mini bird from the shabby french plate onto gold metal, cut it out and embossed the back to give him dimension, i added a touch of pink to the metal using a copic marker, in hindsight i should of used some of my pink TSS metal! But hay too late now lol
Without consciously realizing i have actually made another piece to fit in with this months Artistic Stamper Team blog challenge 'Things with Wings'
***
Now i just hope the old mojo stays a flowin..
..untill tomorrow TTFN x

It looks like your Mojo is back with a vengence!! You did great getting a 3-fer with one awesome tag! I didn't even notice the bars were missing till you pointed it out! LOL! And I love the way you treated the bird...all around fabulous!

Wow! I love this tag. Of course the bird cage is a perfect 'rust' target. But the idea to turn the accident into something that SO fits, is brilliant. I usually crumble up and start over. You give me inspiration for thinking outside the box for my next mistake!

Minxy, you've got your mojo back BIG TIME! What a spectacular tag! Your rusted grunge birdcage is fabulous, and I love the sweet floral background you created. Those stamps are awesome (I'm adding them to my shopping list right now...). I really love the broken bars with the text inside-- what a great visual of the tag's theme! And girlfriend, that metal bird is amazing! Love, love, LOVE this!
