If you're a regular visitor then you know all late week I went a bit kraft card crazy.

Here's is another that I made for my father 'out'laws birthday

I stamped and masked little 'Smile' Stampotique, then stamped a birthday text over the top, A little bit of paper layering and hay presto.
I have 1 more set of 'Kraft'y cards to share tomorrow then I promice that's it.. well for a little while anyway lol

Ellefunk!

Over @ the Artistic Stamper team blog there is a new theme for the monthly challenge.

This month Jennie has chosen 'RAINBOWS'

My first offering can be seem over on the Team blog today, please go check it out, i think you'll like it.

This card is my second offering..

It was my other half's Mum's birthday yesterday and this is the card i made for her as i know she likes elephants. I used Tim's mini elle from the purely random plate, stamped in different distress ink colours.

My first attempt for the front of the card ended up on the inside as it was too cute to waste.
And made for an interesting insert.

A Birthday Tweet!

Just a quickie today to share a card i made for my friend Alison's birthday.

I used 2 alterations dies {caged bird and carnival alpha} along with letters printed from one of the distressables cd's.. some sisal ribbon.. a smidge of distress ink and some bling.
.....
I really need to try and make more 'arty' cards but i find them quite challenging.. i can russle up a canvas art or an altered tin no probs.. but when it comes to a folded bit of card my mind goes blank!!
So whats your crafting weakness?

Card Central

I've been a busy little bee this month.

It seems everyone and his dog has a birthday in march, me included!

Not to mention mothers day.

So as you can imagine i've been making lots of cards, {something i might add I've had trouble with of late}

I've kinda lost my style when it come to cards and am far more at home getting inky and messy on an altered projects, but i've bitten the bullet so to speak and have cracked on and tried my best.. and here is the result.. well one of them at least.... i cant share the rest in case certain people are lurking... but more cards will follow soon...

I'm trying to make my cards a bit simplier as i tend to over do it and not know when to stop, a quick card usually ends up taking me about 2 hours lol... i managed the first in under an hour but the third took a bit long.. you guessed it.. i got carried away again lol.. well i tryed!

Beaten by the bug...

Ok so the Flu got me.... been keeping it at bay for about 2 months and Saturday night/Sunday morning it floored me, must of slept for nigh on 24 hours lol.. So to keep your eyes happy I'm just quickly adding something to look at.These are just a couple of cards i didn't get round to blogging but i love them both. The first is an alternative Christmas card and the second just a simple birthday card.

Sorry that's it! lol.. nothing really exciting...

but hoping to blog a couple more random pieces to keep me blogging while I'm ill later in the week.

Thanks for stopping by, and thank you those of you who have left well wishes, in my previous post, much appreciated x

Card Fever - 3 different Challenges

Well I've gone a bit challenge crazy in a bid to try and get some cards made, and here's what I've managed so far....

This trio's inspiration came from the STAMP SOMETHING! challenge this week which is SNOW.

I used DecoArt snow writer to add dimensional snow to the lamp-post and tree. The star and edging is copper leafed, and i used some acrylic snowdrops to give the sentiment an extra edge. The snowman was stamped onto and cut out of Grungeboard, with a Cuttlebug embossed background which was sanded to highlight the design. {the stamps are by Paperbag Studio - Artistic Stamper & Rubbernecker}

................................

The next challenge was PENNY BLACK SATURDAY, WK#26 - sketch by Beth.

I was really unhappy with how this card was shaping up but it all came good in the end .

{All papers used were DCWV rose tinted Christmas and the PB stamp is Waving Santa.}
...........................

And finally i had my Dad's birthday card to make and found December's sketch #2 over @ SO SKETCHY, it was actually for a 12x12 page but i used it anyway as i liked the design, and i did keep the card 6x6. {all papers were Artic Frog}

Right, i must crack on as i have a whole load more cards to try and plow through, thanks for stopping by, & come back soon!

It's a Hat Trick

And no I'm defiantly not talking footy, so let me explain....

I'm a bit behind with things and realised i needed to make a card for a friends upcoming birthday, i had couple of stamped images ready and i picked out a basic grey {sultry} pad... and then i was stuck, I'm not great when it comes to layouts so i started going through this weeks challenges.

Hay presto, not only did i find Kazan's sketch #14 courtesy of

2 Sketches 4 You

which while i remember..

i have to share my Thankful List..

My 5 things to be thankful for are

1. A roof over my head to keep me safe

2.The love of a good man to keep me happy

3.A loving family and dear friends who are always there

4.A job to pay the bills

and lastly.. 5. My craft room to keep me sane {or mad if you listen to my friends lol}

but i also came across Challenge 23 on This Thursday which is Lime, Pink & Chocolate, perfect as the BG papers i picked are those colours.

So that's not only 2 challenges completed but also a birthday card to boot...SCORE!
