Using It Up!

Well so much for a weekend post, not quite sure what happened there, guess time flies when you having fun!!
So if you didn't already know I have taken the pledge to use up the stash I already have.
And while rooting around in my stash I came across a couple of old mags that where heading for the recycling, I decided to have a quick flick through to see if there was anything worth saving, and low and behold there was a set of love/spring papers and some cut out words.
I put myself straight to work and made a few cards...

The hearts are made from Hearty clay {quite an apt name} It had started to dry up.

So that's another thing for the UIU!

The bling got the UIU treatment as those sit around unloved for ages.

And i'm using my Dies too, no point having then if your not gonna put them to good use is there! 

And lastly I UIU'd these mini metal roses i've had for way over a year!!

These are all available via my newly opened Etsy store.
See I got one of the things on my new goals journal page done, and i'm being a good little UIU'er too.

Spilling the Beans!!

OMG So Finally I get to share my news..!
I have been chomping at the bit waiting for this day... Do you know how hard it is to keep secrets from you lot.
So today I can officially announce that I am the newest member of the
SNAZZY's Design Team

If your not familiar with Snazzy's they are a small, 
(but growing!) independent, family business based in Swindon, Wiltshire.
{located within Basepoint Business Centre, which is just a few minutes drive from J16 of the M4, with plentiful free parking right outside the store.}

Take A Word!

Me again {well come on who else would it be}
I had so much fun doing my 366 january page that it reminded me I had Kate's dvd still to watch..
I only managed to get half way through the first DVD because as soon as I saw her laying the paint on paper I was in my craftroom faster than Speedy Gonzales!
I took my inspiration for the theme from mondays Take A Word challenge
which was 'NEW YEAR'

I chose the same sort of colours I had seen Kate use in her dvd, and I listed all the things I would like to try and achieve this year.

366 Challenge:

Hay everyone
So I decided to join in with Kate Cranes calender journal page challenge this year,
I admired lots and lots of pages all last year so figured why not try it myself this year.

I'm working in a brand new {and my first} Moleskine Sketchbook.

For this month I used distress stains and inks, and some TH vintage shabby papers, the stamps are 'urban stamps' by papermania, and the pens are faber-castell pitt pens and a sharpie finepoint.

I'll be back on Friday with my new DT reveal!!

Just a quickie...

These are just a couple of presents that I made as gifts for Christmas and didn't get round to blogging...
The first is a hand felted frog bag I made for my mum

And these are earrings I created from vintage chandelier drops for my partners sister
{Some of these earrings will be going up in my etsy shop soon}

and placed them into a handmade box

2012!!

Wishing a very

So with a new year brings new resolutions
which leads me to my pledge

The ever so lovely Lady of Lost Times Fran thought up a brilliant idea to get us using up the crafty supplies we already have in our collections this year. Money is tight for a lot of us at the moment and we all have a ton of stash that just sits there.. looking at us longingly, waiting for that day when it gets used and forefills it's purpose!
You know the stuff..the papers you buy and then only stroke, the must have dies that you use once, that tin of pencils you bought ages ago and forgot you had! etc etc etc..
So if this sounds like something you'd like to partake in, hop on over to Frans blog, She has set out some handy guidelines to help in your UIU quest.
She's also made this nifty blinky which you can get from her blog too.

So what do you say.. Are you up for being a UIU member!
The more that join, the better chance of success we have, Plus we can support each other and do stash swaps with each other when we need a new item fix!

I also pledge to try and get healthy in 2012 and start using my Wii Fit at least once a week!
In other news I shall be revealing which DT I have joined later in the week and hopefully get my ETSY store up and running too {well some time this month!!}
