WOYWW 252 {bit early but then so was Julia!!}

Golly Gosh, It has been like forever since I took part in a desk hop, mainly coz i've not had time OR my desk has been a baron wasteland with nothing to see.
But Julia's link popped onto my facebook wall at just the right time to remind me, and there were goodies on my desk so I thought what the hell.
Centre and left there are several doilies, and couple of tiny tea cups, both of which were charity shop bargains and are earmarked for shabby projects, to the right a mould with play-doh.. just experimenting!
Oh and behind the teacups, a little basket stuffed with my new addiction.. crochet flowers, I just taught myself via utube vids and now I can't stop making them!!
I look forward to seeing what's on your desk!

Hi Minxy happy WOYWW great desk this week, I love collecting those doilies too, using them in altered projects, they are getting harder and harder to find the old style ones are divine. Looks like you have some beauties there. Thanks for sharing and have a great crafting week.

Hi Minxy! When I saw your picture I remembered that I was able to buy a Battenburg lace table cloth for $5 last Monday. It had a bit of a stain and a tear but otherwise quite usable. I felt a little bad because usable means I don't have the excuse of tearing it apart and using it for a doll or some craft!!! DFon't you just love thrift shops! Happy WOYWW!!! patsy

Wow, those teacups look awesome. I bet your shabby projects will turn out great when you use them. BTW, I want to know what you are doing with the play-doh. I have some of that stuff and need to know why I got it (grin). Happy WOYWW from # 15.

I'm not too sure on the yarn you need but it looks like a crochet cotton from here?

Pretty doilies! They make great stencils/masks/gelli plate texture tools. Why can I never find such useful goodies at our charity shop? I wonder how you will use them...

Such lovely doilies and I am a big fan of tea cups, so I think I will have to make the rounds and see if I can pick up a few that way. Happy WOYWW!! Winnie#71

Those doilies are beautiful, Minxy. We found lots like that when emptying my parent's house last year. They are currently sitting in our spare room awaiting a "I know what I'll do" moment.
Thanks for visiting - and glad you like our bungalow with its upstairs!! Believe it or not, it was actually built like this - our neighbour's is the same - and we are almost the only ones like it on the estate where we live. It is most precious to have the space. We don't have to put everything away every day!

I love your doilies, I use them when I ink and use texture paste on canvas. They don't look very good when I've finished with them though. I've been trying to find the plastic one but they don't seem to be around anymore. Your crochet flowers are really sweet.
Have a great week,

Crochet flowers..... I so want to learn how to crochet. I'll have to watch some videos to see how far I get!

Can't wait to see what you do with the teacups. I've seen candles made out of them and they are very pretty. Would also make cute little pincushions, especially with that lace!

Thank you for visiting me already! Happy belated WOYWW
