Sorry for the bad title.. but it popped into my head and I had to roll with it.

I am of course entering this tag in this weeks 

Simon Says Stamp & Show

 After doing one of the Chemistry 101 tags I has excess butterflies stamped so I slapped some rock candy crackle on a tag, splodged some stains over the top and finished with the butterflies.

I also added a bit of mesh for added texture. Simples..

And here is just a few of my Tim 101 Tags.. I'm still days behind and i'm ok with that, that's the great thing about the class, it's work at your own pace.

Bright Journal Play.

So the theme this week over on the Pan Pastel Challenge this week is 'Bright Colours' so I decided to have a little play in my journal seeing as it is nearly April and I had not done a single page this month.

The page has a pan pastel base, a layer of gesso, more pastels, then a bit of stamping, 

A freehand drawing {all be it not a great one but i'm still learning} coloured with Inktense pencils and Neo2 wax pastels.

A bit more stamping and some stencilling completed the page.
Hope it's bright enough.

Hello intrepid desk stalkers,
the day of desk hopping is upon us once more,
what did we all do on a wednesday before our fair leader Julia led us astray...
There has been a small change on my desk with week

Not only is it TIDY but i've added some extra little wooden units to give me a bit more space both on the desk and to store things.. All I need now is a little wall unit for above the comp and i'll be sorted.

Celebration Candy!

Yesterday was my birthday and in 2 weeks my blog will be 4 years old.
Boy how the time flies.

Leftovers..

All month I have had the totally to die for new 'Wonderland' papers by 7 Dot studio to play with as part of my Snazzy's design team pack.
Today is my final project over on the TEAM BLOG
here's a quick peek

But alas with projects comes scraps, and it being such nice papers I couldn't bear to throw any of them away so instead I decided to make leftovers card.
Basically you use up all your little scraps on a card and it comes out something like this...

I also used a couple of the wonderland diecut elements and a couple of mini TH paperclips.

I've been absent for a while, I keep forgetting to be honest but I was on the ball today, Got my post sorted b4 I went to bed, And technically it's not cheating as it was past midnight so it is wednesday.

It's my Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 homework

For those of you that don't know {and im sure there can't be many} Chem 101 is Tim's new 2 week online course.

YAY I finally got myself a flower frog, Not exciting to all but i'm happy.
For those wondering what the heck it's for, It's to photograph cards on {but originally it was a flower arranger prop}

Happy Mother's Day Mummy

This is the card I made that I couldn't share until today

And it just so happens that I can still enter it for this weeks Pan Pastel Challenge as although it was made for last weeks, and then I realised I couldn't blog it or my mummy would see, this week the PP theme is to 'Add a Flower', and i've plenty on this card so it fits perfectly.

Playing with Pastels

Pan pastels that is... 

This week the theme over on the PP Challenge Blog is Girly/ Mother's Day and that was just the inspiration I needed to whip up this little creation.

Pan pastels are so highly pigmented and vivid in there colour and work wonderfully over a versamark stamped image, creating a beautifully blended finish.
This is my card for my partners Mum.. I can't share my Mums one as she reads my blog. lol
I'll have to share that one after Mother's Day.
I'm also entering this card in the Simon Says challenge as they also have a mothers day/special girl theme

Whooooo You Looking At...

Today i'm sharing my entry for this weeks Pan Pastel Challenge
they have the prompt to 'use a stamped image'

I stamped one of the very cool owls from octopode and coloured him with pan pastels, I then stamped one of the new Tim Holtz scroll banners and mounted my owl on top. For the base I used up an old tag that had some inky spill waste on, I then stencilled over the top with more pan pastels and finished off with a mini alpha saying and a bit of sari ribbon.

On a different note I have just listed a whole bunch of 'CUTE' stamps for sale on ebay, sugar nellie, magnolia etc  to help raise some funds now i'm unemployed so if you like cute or you know someone who does please share the link.. i'll love ya forever xx

Going Green & Using It Up

And before you think i'm on a eco kick, No i'm talking about the march challenge over at
Inspiration Journal where they have a Go Green Colour challenge.

This was another soak up tag that I decided to work on as part of the Use It Up pledge I took.
 I used a selection of Tim stamps, a bit of trim and some trinkets. Oh and plenty of green ink.

The Time Traveller.

Today I have something a little different to share..

It's my entry for this weeks Simon Says Stamp'n'Show Challenge

Their theme is 'Bottle It'

I made this, which I aptly named 'The Time Traveller'

   I found a cool alarm clock in the charity shop, got it home and proceeded to gut it.. I now have lots of cool gears for another project.
 Then I set about filling it, As the name suggests I've gone for a travel theme,

 with a map background, compass and of course some messages in bottles, I also rusted up a mini birdcage as it's nice to have a travel companion lol
I had an absolute blast making this and will defo be on the lookout for more clocks to alter.. Watch this space.

Ello.. Here I am finally with my Tim tag for March...

The only thing I didn't have was the cement looking embossing powder so I used some of Tim's distress embossing powders and that worked pretty well I think.

Ello Peeps
Today i'm here to share with you a couple of cards I made for this weeks Stampotique Designer Challenge
The brief was to use 'Pink, Purple & Black'
So I set to work with the paints and came up with these..

I even dusted off the sewing machine for the top one to add some pink stitching.

I used MS paints, and found objects for the background, then just added a bit of stamping and the stampotique figures and I was finished.

I've still got got around to making my Timmy tag..maybe i'll do that today!

366 Challenge!

Yep March is upon us already...Only 25 days to my birthday!
{cards and gifts greatly received hehehehehehehehehe well a girl can try can't she}
I had actually forgotten the date till I saw a fellow crafter's 366 challenge page up on FB this morning, so I have spent most of the day working on my page, Having fail after fail I have to say I am somewhat disappointed in my efforts this month, It just wouldn't go right..
I finally decided to give up and leave it where it was as the more I faffed the more it was going wrong,
Don't you just hate days like that!
Anyways enough waffle.. here's the page

I'm not gonna go into how I made the page as I can't remember there are so many layers lol
All I do remember is that I painstakingly diecut 31 mini doilies.

You may be able to tell that the left of the page had black outlines with some of the dots of the doilies coloured in, well I hated how it looked so I slapped a load of gesso over the entire page to tone it down.
Guess today just wasn't a good day to journal.. Oh well, you can't win them all can you.
I also forgot to photograph my feb page, so i'll try and remember and add the pic later.
I'll be back over the weekend with my march Timmy tag.
