Pre tag warm up!

Only 1 day away before the fabby Tim treats us to the first of his 12 tags of christmas, so in preparation i thought i'd join in with this weeks Simon Says Stamp & Show challenge which is 'Tags'
Just a good old fashioned bit of stamping and colouring in, with a smidge of distress embossing and some punched out holly for dimension.
And this is my replica of a Tim original i saw on his blog...i think i got it pretty darn close{ish}.

So is everyone all tagged up and ready for tomorrow, i know i am!

Crimbo card No1.. first to show of many lol

I can't quite believe that i've missed out on the last 5 or so Compendium of Curiosities challenges..
Well that changes today.. I'm getting back to feeling like me again and to prove it here is my offering of this weeks Double Distress Pg40 {see book for details}
I used broken china and faded jeans, with a smidge of brushed corduroy for my grunge, the snowflakes are a cuttlebug folder. I dont have the Timmy one YET!!
I punched out a couple of snowflakes and covered them with diamond dust, don't they look pretty.
The dotty paper, snowman and sentiment are all Timmy stash, and the base card was stenciled using the snowflake waste from the punch outs.
This also fits in with Something Completely Different's 'Snow' prompt, Lots To Do's 'Embossing' prompt and The Stamp Man's 'Anything by Tim Xmas theme' challenges.
It's so nice to be inky again, i can't tell you how much i was feeling like i would never craft again!
But here i am, hopefully normal service should resume shortly.
I've had a good few inky days so lots more crimbo cards to come!

Freeezziin Friday and a new use for your melt pot! {well it was new to me!}

Burrrr it's darn chilly outside today, which means it's the perfect day to stay in and craft or blog hop.
I mentioned in my woyww post {i'm still making my way round desks by the way} about the alternative use for your melt pot {baking polymer clay}and i had a couple of questions.
The way i did it was i heated my pot at 110, let it get nice and hot, then i placed a triangle of non stick craft mat, I cut up a cheap one i got from poundland, but I have heard you can place the clay directly onto the pot but i didn't want to risk it as my pot base is slightly worn with use lol
I placed the clay pieces onto the mat, covered with the lid and left it for 30-35 minutes.
And hay presto there baked.
These were what i created, nothing too exciting, but now i know it works i'm sure more fun will be had..

Only Me! WOYWW #77

Hello Peeps, Sorry i've been awol for so long again... The dreaded depression took hold of me pretty bad but i'm slowly getting back to form and have even been having some inky fun after about a 2 month dry spell.
The desk is reasonably tidy compared to how it has been these past few day.
The melt pot is out coz i found a brand new use for it..
It makes a fab little baking oven for your polymer clay, just set the heat to 110 and then leave your clay embellishments to cook for about half and hour, hay presto there done, its awesome.
I'll try and upload what i made in the next day or too.
Happy hopping peeps, You should know the drill by now, head over to Julia's blog to start the woyww fun HERE!

Doesn't time fly!

I can't believe it's been a whole month since i last blogged, Where does the time go..
I've been having a bit of a bumpy life journey of late but i think i am finally starting to see some light through the tree's. I spent yesterday at my friends and crafted for the first time in well over 2 months, managed 5 cards, and even though they were pretty basic and i was running on auto pilot while making them it was nice to be creating again. Here's hoping in the next few weeks i will get my life back to normal again and come back to blogland once again. I would just like to take this opportunity to again say thank you for any cards, e'mails or messages of support you have sent me, I don't think i would get through without them xx
