Craft Stamper have a Bi-monthly challenge over on there blog called 'Take it,Make it'.
Basically you take a technique from the Craft Stamper Magazine, this time it's 'Faux Airbrushing' from the March edition. And then you make something!
I opted for a card.
I used a chevron stencil {cut by my friend Fi, on her silhouette} for my faux effect, I used 'squeezed lemonade', 'mustard seed', 'dried marigold' and 'fire brick' distress ink.
I then stamped with Sam Poole's ghetto blaster from the 'Urban Beats' plate, Direct to the card, and also twice onto plain card so I could cut and layer it up.
I gave it a coat of glossy accents to make it more realistic.
I was in 2 minds about putting a sentiment, so left it blank, I can always add at a later date if I need to.
I had a couple of other attempts at the technique before I was happy with the final card.
Here is one that just didn't have enough pow for me.
I used 'pumice stone' and 'black soot' along with my own handmade stencil, and some kaisercraft stamps.
I found the larger the area to be faux'ed the harder it was to get a nice finish.
Right that's me for today.. Off to do my good samaritian bit in the charity shop.. Ta Ra and thanks for stopping by x

The Urban Beats card looks really funky, love the layering of the main image! Thanks for playing along with us in the first Craft Stamper challenge!
Fabby card N, love this for anyone, female / male but spesh I'm thinking teenagers. Looks great. Thanks for sharing x
love the zingy urban beats Nicky...fab colour and I really like how you've done the whole background with the technique not just a tiddly bit through the stencil (like most, (including me) did!
Thank you for playing along with the Craft Stamper Challenge! xxxx
Your 'airbrushed' chevrons look fantastic with the ghetto blaster stamp.
Fab cards Nicky! xxx
Both of these are cool! xx
Two super cards.
The bright card with chevrons is my favourite. The stronger colour shows up the airbrush techniqe really well.
Lovely lovely. Thanks for joining the craft stamper challenge.
