On my desk today is the beginnings of a long and painful process, Cataloguing my stamps!!!
The big book {center} is for ALL my stamps, with a sub folder {on the right} for all my wording/ quotes/ sentiments.
I was inspired to get this done after seeing my friend Jen's very neat and tidy folders. So as you can imagine this may take quite some time but i've started and that's.. well.. a start lol

Good luck with the cataloging. I have tried something similar in the past with varying degrees of success. I think it all hinges on making sure that you always put new stamps in the catalogue the minute you get them!
I LOVE that floral stamp at the bottom of the page! (I wonder what it is?)
Happy WOYWW, no number yet,
RosA
Just keep inking those stamps girl and you will get there in the end!
Morning! Love your very organised desk, it puts mine to shame. Good luck with the cataloguing. It's something I should do, but even thinking about it brings me out in a rash. ;)
Good luck with the stamp catalogue/storage. I started it once but gave up when I realised it would take weeks, if not months to do and then I'd have to build a floor to ceiling bookshelves to store them all. Think that tells me I have far too many stamps.

I was fortunate enough to get the good tip about cataloging my stamps when I was a brand new stamper...and I actually listened for once, lol!!! I can't imagine going back and starting over now, so bravo to you!!
Happy Crafting!

Wow, that's a challenge you've set yourself. I only list mine by name and company, I don't have the image stamped in mine... though sometimes I wish I had gone that route... Good luck, Minxy!!! Helen, 14
Good luck with it Minxy, sounds like a marathon task but one that is so worthwhile.... if only..... Happy WOYWW, Anne #35
It will be worth it when done :)
Love your desk, lots of wonderful goodies x WOYWW Heather # 70
my goodness you are so organised ... I would start then get distracted by the cat and forget about the catalogue.I am spotting some gorgeous stamps which would probably distract me all over again.

I think 2013 must be Organise Your Stamps year, lol. I did mine over Christmas. The only difference being I used loose leaf binders (A5), for my cataloguing. I was shocked by the number of stamps I'd forgotten about, and even more so by the number that had probably only been inked to catalogue.Have a great week, Hugs,xx Shaz #75
I have just posted on someone elses blog that they have made me decide that I need to index my stamps and here you are doing the very thing. I know once done we will all be so glad we did it.
Have you indexed your dies, masks and embossing folders yet? Those I have done

Oh good for you Nicky..just the thought of getting each stamp out, inking it, cleaning it and putting it away has my brain fogging over...I know I am never going to be as well organised as you. Your desk/area is a treat to my eyes, always. And yep, Wednesday seems to happen every third day!
Good luck with the stamps. Thanks for sharing your desk.
Happy WOYWW.

You have set yourself quite a goal. Last year I moved all mine to cd cases and labled the cases, then have them stored by catagory. I do not have the speace for as may binders as I would need to do it this way LOL.

It's such a great idea as with so many stamps it's easy to forget what we have. I know I do. I've got all my stamps stored in folders but often don't look through for ages.! Have a good week. Take care Zo xx 76
Crikey Nicky you are tidy and organised and I'm not talking about the cataloguing either, lol! That is a good idea if you can keep it up though. I'm afraid I started out with good intentions a few years ago but didn't keep it up :-( Would need to start from scratch now.

Good luck with the organizing! You have such a beautiful workspace- enjoy your time there! :)
wow im impressed that is quite a folder(mammoth) but im sure you will be so pleased with the result afterwards everyone is in organisation mode I might do the same but will be really easy as I dont have a big stash yet so if I start now it wont be a big job to keep it up.. that's the logic anyway belated woyww wishes must get sorted for work now and hope you have a great week, nearly forgot to say there are some fab stamps there too... love it ! Andrea #77
Wow you have a job on there! I should do that too, it sounds like a really good idea! xx #125
