WOYWW One Hundred and Eighty something..

...i've missed the last few woyww's due to forgetfulness and generally not having any spare time, I think it's week 184!
Right to my desk..
Not a great deal going on i'm afraid, A few cards i've yet to photograph and blog, and the remnants of a Utube video I filmed last night for my latest DT project
here's a peek
So what I thought I would share is a little unit I knocked up on Monday night for my Distress Stains, I had them stored in a basket but was just not using then as they ended up with stuff piled on top so I couldn't see them.. I'm quite a visual crafter, I work more with things if there right there staring me in the face, so to speak.
I was lucky to have the base box pre-made, I think it was a gift box base at some point, but I had it filled with random bits, and it worked out to be the perfect size. Then I just created a grid out of mountboard, and hay presto. I think it came out pretty good and I now hope to use my stains more now they're on show.
...............
This is a quick note to our fair leader Julia,
THANK YOU my scraps box is working fantastically, I can't believe I never had one b4 xx
...............
Right off to hop some desks, In case I don't get to do another desk hop b4 Christmas,
I wish you all a very Happy Festive Season xx

I too am a visual crafter which is why I had all the clear boxes in front of me, but then it had the draw back of being visually messy...so I put the labels in the boxes which has worked just as well but given an overall neater appearance of my desk. I do like your clever Macguiver job with the box and the mound board. It looks fabulous.

That stains holder looks fabulous. What a good idea. I could do with something like that for my stains & fresco's... have a good day. Helen, 4

Yes I think I am a visual crafter too. Love the box for the stains. Pity I don't have the desk space to do things like that.

Happy WOYWW and thanks for sharing.

It's a fine line isn't it between having it all available and having nowhere to work because everything is out! I like clear storage drawers for that reason, keeps my desk relatively free. Like your recycled box though, great job. Have a great Christmas.

Loving your storage solutions! Great way to see your stains, and I may have to have a go at one of those scraps boxes as they do seem like a fab idea. Can't believe how many I've 'mislaid' under piles of other stuff - well just see my post today! Happy WOYWW, hugs Jenny #70

Love that storage idea! I am a visual crafter too and love just sitting in my room and staring at all the pretty rainbows around me sometimes. Very sad I know.
Happy belated WOYWW!

Great organizer! I would bet most of us are visual, can't see it and don't use it! I craft under a window now, I'm thinking of moving to a wall so that I can organize more in front of me :) Thanks for coming my way! Sandi 5
