Feb 1st can only mean 1 thing.. It's time to share this months 366 calendar page.
But first here is my finished January page
I was a good UIU girl for this page.. I dug out my unloved Slice Elite machine to cut all the hearts.
It's funny how you forget how useful something can be till you get it out to play again.
I put a wash of red as my base, and over stamped with a couple of Redlead statement stamps, then I stuck all my hearts in an organised random fashion
{meaning they look random but actually took me ages to get the right placement lol}
I look forward to seeing everyone else's Feb pages.

I must admit there were a couple of missed days...but all in all I am pretty chuffed with myself for finishing the whole month.. Here's hoping I make it through Feb just as well.
Here is the page I have to start with.
I know it's pretty cliché to go with hearts but it is the month of love what with Valentines day and it's my 7th anniversary {not married, just happily living in sin as they say lol} So I figured ah why not.
And another good reason is the artistic stamper challenge has a 'hearts' theme this month.

Then I just finished up with some doodling around each heart, the letters and the edge.
I may add to this page some more but for now I am pretty chuffed how it turned out.I look forward to seeing everyone else's Feb pages.

Well done on completing January, Nicky and February definitely looks good to go! I know what you mean about organised random ..... it's much harder than organised but this is great and doesn't look at all contrived.

Had a chuckle reading your post - know what you mean about 'random'!!! The different hearts for Feb journal blocks are a great idea. And your January pages look well all filled in - the PMT squares stand out - I guess the folks in your family try to avoid you around that time....

I love how you weren't afraid to have your journaling blocks randomly placed. It gives the pages a whole different look. I might have to try that for next month. Lovely colors and style. How did you take such a great pic of your pages? I really struggle with that. Yours look so perfect.
Great pages - they look fab - and you have every right to feel chuffed well done you they look brilliant! I find my book of inspirational sketch book so helpful i am forever wondering how to layout a card, where to put this bit of paper or that flower and i spent more time thinking then crafting so i find this very helpful, Thanks for your visit Hope you have a great crafty week Lou x
I love both your month pages. How fun to do this, I use to do a scrapbook calender for my family years ago and just seeing this makes me want to again.
Do you only put your month calenders here or is this mixed in with your art journal pages?
Might just have to start playing along with this idea also.

Oh those two pages are wonderful...I am not familiar with art journals...do you sumerize the hilites of each day or maybe use it like a gratitude journal??? Maybe what you are thankful for each day?
I can't get the picture to blow up enough to read it clearly so am uncertain.
I like the look of it and think it just might be something I would like to use as a gratitude journal...trying to influence my life with positivity in 2012.
