Wonder if she's kept up this month???
Here are my 5 for the month of march..

Can you tell which tags there from!
the rest i just threw together!
Bo Bunny santa and some die cutting using my Slice.

Tim holtz santa collage & fern stamps and some star sequin waste
More sequin waste this time with an Inkadinkado santa, and BG paper.

Good morning desk hoppers
Not a very exciting desk today, As you can see there is some evidence of a WIP but i've had to remove half of it as it's Artistic Stamper CT work.
Still the keen eyed among you may notice a mini top hat which can be seen in detail  HERE or maybe you notice Tim's face.. That can be seen HERE.
Other than that just a lot of stamps and ink on my desk..
Keeping it short and sweet today as have been plagued with headaches this week so i'm limiting my comp time.. i'm wondering if i may need specks!
So i'll be hopping every other number today, and will try and make it round as many as i can!

The Wait Is Over !!

Finally the new challenge run by the ever so wonderful Linda is here to replace the void that the compendium  left behind.
as she's named it is all about Lord Tim of Holtz and his awesome products and techniques..
***
To to celebrate the very first challenge I made my tag accordingly...
I used a antique linen/heirloom gold spritz mix, but the masking kinda faded away when i added the top coat of stormy sky
I remembered I had cut Tim out from one of my many metal case packagings
and thought now was the perfect time to use it up.
I cut him out and added a little perfect pearls to his hair and shirt.

I glitzed him up with some painted grunge stars.
And what lord wouldn't be without a crown!
I have a feeling i am so going to enjoy each and every monday from now on!

Hats Off To Ya!

Monday Monday, here again and that means 2 things..
Firstly there is a new theme over at Simon Says Stamp'n'Show
AND The brand new Grungy Monday challenge starts today!
WooHoo
So firstly for my Simon Says piece
The theme this week could not be more fitting for me..
They want you to show your 'HATS'
And as luck has it I have just completed one I shall be wearing to Ally Pally in a couple of weeks time {are you going?}
I was totally inspired by one i had seen on the net somewhere, but like a plank i forgot where, luckily today the owner of that inspirational piece Sarah commented and reminded me, check out her awesome hat HERE
It's made from grungeboard and idea-ology and i've given it a steampunk theme
and it actually took me the best part of 2 days to complete..
But so worth it, came out way better than i could have hoped for,
And thought it was proper fiddly,  I feel another coming on lol
Rather than flood the blog with pics, i've put them into a slide show for you!

Thanks for stopping by.. I may be back later with my GMC if not then see you tomorrow!

In the Frame!

Over at the Stampman Challenge their theme is 'Anything Tim'
And well who needs an excuse to get that stash out.
I wanted to try something different, So I've used Timmy stamps on polymer clay.
I used a mix from all his mini sets.
And dusted over with perfect pearls once they were baked.
As you can see the piece is kinda random as i was just playing about but i think it looks ok,
even though it has no real direction. What do you peeps think?
Yay or Nay!!
Boy was this piece hard to photograph!
Thanks for stopping by..
I'll be back tomorrow with my final Artistic Stamper piece of the month.

Good morning fellow Desk Hoppers
I'm afraid i have a clean desk again this week, BUT i did receive a lovely parcel in the mail which contained this little lot..
Yep i was a very lucky bunny and won this fab Desk accessory set from the lovely Wipso and Twiglet who together make up Sister Crafty Creations.
BIG THANKS LADIES xxx
It consists of a needle book, pin cushion
and this fab baby wipe cover.. I am so loving this!
The monkeys had other ideas for what things were for though!
When my back was turned putting the cover on my wipes
this happened!!!
Can you believe it, the cheeky little monkeys,
still they do look comfy and kinda happy so for now i'll leave them be!
{i'm linking the above pic to Crafting Pets, Joanne wants you to share your crafting buddies.
and while mine may not be real but they keep me amused!!}
Happy Hopping!

Oh Sew Good!

Over @ Tuesday Throwdown their theme is 'Anything but a card'
And this project definitely fits the bill..
I altered a plain paper mache collage box, Into my own mini configuration piece.
I used a textured paste on the frame, then painted over it in white and accented with fancy metal corners and old vintage buttons,
The inside was covered with old book pages and old dress pattern paper
I embellished with some mini 'rolls' of fabric, chipboard props and a friendly plastic mannequin.
This has to be the first project i've done in a long while that has absolutely no stamping on it!!!
Have a great week!

Diecut Collaboration!

So when i saw that Hels over @ the Sunday Stamper had the theme 'Diecuts' i was straight on the case..
Get it case.. vagabond!
I've a few birthdays coming up so decided to make cards.
I also decided that i was only going to use scraps,
You know how it is, you start something, cut this.. pull that out.. stamp this.. and don't use half of what you thought you would so it gets shoved in the 'I'll use that later' pile.. only for it to sit there forever and a day..
Well today it was their day!
Card one.. Which is also my entry for this weeks Simon Says Stamp'n'Show
'WORD' challenge, my word being Wish.
A real mish mash of elements.. bit of alcohol inked card, bit of embossed metal, Stampers Anonymous TH image, oh and of course said diecuts!
Card two...
Again an assortment, but mainly diecuts apart from the image which is Pucinni's Muse by Stampington, a little metal fancy corner and stamped dragonfly on acetate.
And finally some tattered florals i had cut from jean and lace turned into..

A little hair accessory.
***
Right i'm off for now to get inky maybe, if the old mojo is up to it..
It has been a bit hit and miss lately.. I find i work better when i have company, even if it is only via the computer but there isn't always someone around.
So how do you craft? Are you better on your own or do you like having someone to bounce ideas off and have a bit of a banter with?
Do you chat to friends like i do on skype or are you happy locked in a room on your own with your stash???

Alice Time!

I've been meaning to blog this all week but other things just kept getting in the way...
just as well it's a monthly challenge!!
I am of course talking about Alter It Monthly
This month they have a 'Time' theme
So armed with my super cool Alice stamp, a pack of fragments and various other bits i made this.
Couldn't decide which pic i liked best lol.. plus it shows that the clock hands spin.
I used shrink plastic for the octopode Alice, backed the fragment charm with timmy paper, then stamped the white rabbit in black ink and coloured it with a white inkssentials pen on top.
A few tea related charms and hay presto.. 1 Alice bag charm with a 'Time' theme
***
Right i must dash.. Off for a nice meal at my OH's parents place

Wear art with pride!

I have to say that one of my favorite things to make is something you can wear out and about,
wether it be metal or beads, earrings or a necklace, there is something really cool about making your own jewelry.. especially knowing that no-one else is going to have the same as you!
With this in mine i created a little piece for the Artistic Stamper...
Here is the sneaky peek.. Hop over to the Team Blog to see what i made!
I'll be back later or tomorrow with my alter it monthly piece!

WOYWW 93

Well here we are again for our regular desk snoop
Boy have i had a bad nights sleep, keep being woken by banging on the walls.
Very unsettling i can tell ya.
Anyway enough of my woes.. On to what's on my desk...
 And the answer.. Nothing
I'm at a bit of a crafting standstill at the minute, I did finish a piece or 2 from last week..
The shadowbox frame and dress form turned into THIS and i have finished a couple of the bag charms but not blogged them yet...so instead i thought i'd share the chaos that is my cupboard.. and i'm so glad it has doors so i can hide the mess within!!!
This is basically where i house all my embellishments and A4 card. Along with anything else i need to squeeze in lol.. Needs a real good sort out but it can wait, like i said the doors are a godsend lol
Happy Hopping, Hope to make it round more desks this week, didn't do so good last week, not sure where the time went!! Isn't that always the way!

Seeing Stars!

And no i've not had a bang on the head!
Over @ Simon Says Stamp'n'Show this week there theme is 'Stars'
I knew i had a Timmy stamp somewhere with stars on,
and the piece just evolved from there.
I altered a round thin wood box.
The base had some paint and ink before i stamped the stars and scene in stazon.
When you lift the lid you can see hidden stars i added just for fun.
The top was covered with retro grunge star paper and then embellished with a mix of scrabble tiles, dice, champagne glasses and mini red disco balls.
I also printed off a sheet of playing cards from Tim's distressables paper cd,
mounted them on card and inked the edges.
All in all i am quite please how it turned out as it looks nothing like the picture i had in mind to start off with!! Maybe i did have a small bang on the head!! lol
Thanks for stopping by x

On Form Again!

Dress form that is..
Yep i finally got some direction for this project that had been sat on my desk since wednesday.
Hels over @ Sunday Stamper picked 'Brown' as the theme for this week so i set to work adding lots more brown elements.
I had already cut the denim form and added a brown birdcage skirt.
I had also covered a shadowbox with old dress pattern papers that became browner with the more layers that i added.
So next i set to work stamping some elements for the inside.
I used Tim's new haberdashery stamps, and coloured with distress inks and copic markers.
I made a makeshift cotton reel, and stuck a couple of fancy maya road pins in for a nice extra effect.
I also diecut some tattered florals in denim and lace and attached them together with a buttons and thread.
The lace was pink but i grunged it up with some brown ink.
{What a muppet i am, I've only just realized I totally forgot but the initial idea and theme for this piece was actually prompted by challenge 21 'Denim & Lace' over @ Let's get Shabby, but it's ok, I remembered just in time as there cut off date is the 20th phewww!}
And there you have it... So does anyone else have this die and love it as much as i do...
How are you using yours???
..............
I'll be back in the week with my Alter It Monthly challenge piece,
I have my pro op assessment for my knee tomorrow.. Will finally find out when i get the dreaded but also hopefully helpful operation!!! Can't quite believe i've been off work over 6 months, and even more so that i've been stuck indoors for the best part of that time.
 so wish me luck!
Until then Stay Inky
