Burrrr it's darn chilly outside today, which means it's the perfect day to stay in and craft or blog hop.
I mentioned in my woyww post {i'm still making my way round desks by the way} about the alternative use for your melt pot {baking polymer clay}and i had a couple of questions.
The way i did it was i heated my pot at 110, let it get nice and hot, then i placed a triangle of non stick craft mat, I cut up a cheap one i got from poundland, but I have heard you can place the clay directly onto the pot but i didn't want to risk it as my pot base is slightly worn with use lol
I placed the clay pieces onto the mat, covered with the lid and left it for 30-35 minutes.
And hay presto there baked.
These were what i created, nothing too exciting, but now i know it works i'm sure more fun will be had..

use mine for friendly plastic as well, fill with water and it acts as a water bath, glad you are climbing out of depression its a nasty thing isnt it,so hard to battle, wishing you well :)
Hiya
Yeah you can put the clay directly into the melt pot, it doesn't harm it at all, I do it all the time.
Did you know that if you colour the clay with perfect pearls before you cook it in the melt pot, it holds the colour perfectly. Have a look on my blog to see what I mean.
Oooh lovely - thanks for the tips - I shall have to get some clay now ;)
These look absolutely amazing!
