A Desk, A Challenge, A piece of Art!

Right i don't want to alarm anyone but have you seen what day it is... Surely it can't be time to rummage in other peoples rooms already!!!
My desk hasn't changed too much from last week, a few things have been created between then and now.
 Some of which can be seen in the pic, {the rest in the posts below this one}
Including my entry for this weeks Compendium of Curiosities challenge
 'Grungepaper flowers' pg 65
I didn't want to just stick my grunge flowers onto a card so decided to give it a bit of life.
Plus i know Linda now expects nothing less than fabulous so i didn't want to disappoint lol!
......
Lots To Do challenge has a 'Butterflies &/or Insects' theme so i ran with that and this ickle spirit art doll was created...
She is Strength * She is Brightness
She is a reminder to always stay strong, even when things seem bleak
& to see a bright side to life even in the darkest of times.
She has been created using not only the grungepaper flower head with friendly plastic face, but a peg for a body, and some metal & card for her butterfly wings, oh and a lot of patients lol
I plan to attach some form of hanging fixture so she can sit on wall somewhere.
.....
Right i must crack on, i have a ton of swaps i need to make a start on.. I hope to get round a few more desks this week, if i don't make it to you it's nothing personal honest, i just suffer with bad wrists so spending a long time gripping the mouse can be a real pain.. literally, but i'll do my best.
Have a creative day
♥ HUGZ ♥

You have no idea how much you just scared me! I forgot you're 5 hours ahead of me and thought it was 7pm on Wednesday, not Tuesday! I thought I'd lost a whole day and I wanted it back.

I love your flowery face-y butterfly. Very cool. And very inspirational. Enjoy your Wednesday.

Adore the face on that doll. and slipping back a post that card with the elephants is seriously adorable. I must seek out and acquire that. I may only use it once but it will be perfect for something som day. :)

Your desk is quite filled with projects, I see. I also read how your servers are now filling with things that don't belong. The life of a crafter with a new storage piece (grin). Happy WOYWW and love the grunge flower.

Desk is looking very tidy and your doll is amazing - good luck with the challenge too. Yes my distress ink handles are homemade - got 7 knobs for 35p and 3 bits of wood for 70p so I managed to make up 21 handles for a fraction of the cost of the proper ones (very pleased with myself!).

Cor, waht a fab piece you've made for the challenge. Love your labelled up photo - the slowly filling with stuff that shouldn't be there made me smile, but the web cam cosy nearly had me falling off the chair, no idea why, it just struck me as a hilarious thing!!
