Anyone for a Batik!

Evening Stampers, Here are my efforts for this weeks Compendium of Curiosities
This week its 'Blended Batik' on page 36. I haven't done this technique in absolutely ages and forgot just how good the finished results look, i'll defiantly be doing some more soon i think Linda.
This is also my entry for this weeks Mixed Media Monday which is 'Seeing Red'
All the stamps are the yummy Vintage Aviation set by Sam Poole.
Sorry it's a short and sweet one today..Feeling a bit sorry for myself, knee problems again but i won't bore you with the details.. Anyways have an artful evening and hopefully i'll be more chatty next time you visit.

I love the 3D effects, and the red of the journey and of the balloon really stand out.

Lovely, Minxy. One of my favourite techniques, too, though I love to do it with flowers. You feel sorry for yourself, love - I do for me when my knees are bad - more frustrated than sorry, I think - grrr!!! Hope your knees behave!

loving the tag...like it when items over hang the edges...gives the piece more visual interest. Hope the knee improves soon.

Minxy, this ROCKS!!! Talk about attention to detail, and the details are fabulous! GREAT job on the blended batik, and I love how you layered the balloon image. The airplane with the "journey" banner is really cool and clever. It's awesome!

The best part of this one? The Global MAP! It seems to be a perfect background for your stamping. I have to confess that I know nothing about batik.

Hi Minxy...I really love this piece! The whole look is so unique. I do love these stamps too. I haven't seen them in our area.
Pain is such a creative buzzkill so take care of yourself and it's ok to feel a bit sorry for yourself. I get frustrated sometimes if my pain gets too much or too long!
