Goth Girl

Hello all... finally i have some time to share with you a piece i managed to complete in between my decorating saga.
I have a very special email friend Ange aka Agnes the Red who is one of the most talented people i know, her imagination is second to none and having the privilege of swapping once before with her i was over the moon when she agreed to another swap.
We decided upon a domino swap... but to make it interesting it had to be a legged domino, and we also decided to give the whole project a Gothic theme.
I had an absolute blast making this and am so chuffed with how it turned out.

I have named her "Tish" ...
(shortened from Morticia from the Addams family)

She was quite simple to make really, i just stamped the goth image onto the domino, coloured with my sharpies and then glazed with glossy accents. (The back was drawn freehand just to complete her)
The legs are made from 1 piece of wire bent to the style i wanted and attached by drilling very small holes into the domino and placing the ends of the wire into the holes adding a touch of superglue to keep in place. The only tricky part was sowing the material skirt which is just a couple of scraps of voile draped over the wire which holds the 2 dominoes together... not only does it cover the join between the 2 but adds a little something extra to make the piece really pop, i also added the bag detail in kinda a decoupage way as it would have been lost under the skirt and to finish i added the hair in the form of card just to balance the whole piece out.

Overall i couldn't be happier with the way she turned out and must admit i nearly didn't part with her as loved her so much but know she has gone to a very good home xx
I would like to give a big thanks to Ange for swapping with me again and very much look forward to our next xx

xx Hugz xx
