Mixed Media Monday

Another first for me today, i decided to join in with the mixed media Monday challenge.

The theme this week is "Try Something New"
The "new" thing i "tried" was not only to alter a metal letter holder, but also having a play with my NEW Tim Holtz stamps that have been sat itching to be used for ages.

I removed each holder piece, luckily it came apart quite easy.
Got out my trusty alcohol inks and started splodging. I used all brown and caramel type colours and a copper mixative, as although i wanted to cover most of the original pattern, i was quite happy for a little of it to show through.

I then randomly stamped some of my new Tim stamps here and there using Black, Brown and Pink archival inks (basically coz i only have these 3 pads too use lol)

And here is the results.......
