Anything Goes!

Oh I am in a muddle today.. This should of posted earlier, but hay hoe, i'm here now.
I wanted to share a little card I made for the Simon Say's 'Anything Goes' Challenge

It actually started out because when I made THIS piece a while back and the stamp had ink left over on it in a circular shape, and rather than waste it I inked a card with it, But it's sat there on my desk for a while waiting for inspiration to strike... And this morning it did.
With a few WV stamps and a die cut TH bookplate it was finished.

Inspired by Summer Distress

Is the theme this week over at Simon Says Stamp'n'Show.
And here is my inky offering

 It's a mountboard tag bookmark, I used Tim's dies to cut the tag and heart centre.

 I rubbed and spritzed each summer distress colour on my craft sheet in turn, and picked up the colour and dried in-between, to get the background effect.

I then tried stamping and embossing some of the Dina Wakely tree's but my first efforts with a pink and blue embossing enamel just blended into the background, so I re heated and added white over the top, you can sort of see the coloured flecks with gives it a kinda cool effect that is alot more visible in person.
As it was looking a bit plain I coloured a little ketto image with copics, cut her out and made her the fairy tree protector.
Right I can't hang around here any longer, there's lots for me to do!

Good morning intrepid desk rummager's..

It appears another week has passed us by in a flash.

As you can see from the disarray on my desk there has been a bit of this and that going on, I had a lovely day out last week at a friends where I actually made a few {christmas} cards... I know I know the scandal,  me making THOSE type of cards, anyway the reason there on my desk was coz I made another and was showing my live stream watchers the variations.

I finally got a better camera angle for utubes etc by suspending the camera directly about my desk, It's so much better now. Anyway I digress... Here's a quick close up of the cards.

And the card below is so NOT me or my style, but it's my OH's niece's 1st B'day soon so needs must, My mate was a real star and let me have the pooh bear {a cricut shape} so all I did was too cut the letters with my slice and put it all together with some patterned paper.. very simples.

AJC Page

Over at Art Journal Cafe they have a 'Monochromatic' challenge.
As I hadn't played in my journal for a while I decided to give it a go...
I'd not tried a page like it b4 and this is the result

It's a mix of tapes, inks, paints, bubble wrap and stamps.

And before you say, "hang on a minute you shared a page on wed" This page was actually done first, Wednesday's page was an already started background that had gone no-where, and having done this page I was inspired to carry on journalling and finish the previous page in my journal!

Hay fellow desk hoppers, Keeping it short and sweet today,
Here's my desk..

Yep no diecutting machine today, but only coz I wanted to play in my journal yesterday and obviously I need the room.. And here is said journal page

Rest assured I will be die cutting some more.. I didn't get alot done so far, only what you see in that little tub left of my journal {which amounts to about 50 die-cuts so far}

No Rules!

The project I'm sharing today actually started life as a DT submission piece for Creative Expressions but I changed my mind about applying so now it's my Simon Says Stamp'n'Show 'No Rules' entry instead.
And you can't say I can't coz there's no rules..... remember.

It started out as a canvas but that went horribly wrong, so I ripped off the canvas and was left with a rather nice wood frame.

With a coat of gesso and some stamped dress pattern tissue paper the frame looked a million times better than the original disaster.

I was watching my friend Diane stream the other day and she had on her desk a very cool Tim Holtz dressform art piece, which prompted mine on this piece. I cut out and hand stamped about 50 of the dressform bodies from packing paper, I probably didn't need that many but I like the fullness it gave the shape.

To finish I added some of the Nestabilities flowers that I inked while they were still in the die to give the fab double colour effect, I hadn't tried inking b4 with my nesties.. mainly coz I didn't realise you could until recently.
See even someone who's been crafting as long as me, Is still learning on a daily basis!

Quickie Card Share

Today's post is exactly what it says in the title

The outlaws recently moved and this is the card I made for them.
The base card is covered with hockey tape, the houses are board I covered and stamped with Wendy Vecchi  stamps, and I used a few of the Tim Holtz chitchat stickers.
Right I must dash, off to the outlaws for dinner in a bit and I still have to get dressed lol

Hay fellow Desk hoppers, Sorry I didn't make it round to you all last week, I'm easily distracted by shiny things lol

I hope to do better today.

So as you can see the desk is pretty self explanatory today

I've let my stock run low so plan on having a massive cut out blitz of all my dies, I started last night as you can see from the 3 piles of  flowers waiting to be assembled. The jean covered album houses all my spellbinders, and the mini trolley has all my mover's and shapers in...I ran out of room for all the big dies.. So I fear you may well come back next week to a very similar view.. we'll see how I go!
Right I best crack on, desks to visit and things to cut..

Hip to be Square!

Over at CAS-ual Fridays their prompt is to make a 'square card'
So funny enough, that's just what i've done lol

I've used a Sam Poole stamp, and a piece of patterned paper both matted on black card.
Can't get more simples than that!

Hay desk hoppers, It's been a while since I played along with you guys..
Not quite sure where this year has gone so far, as ever it seems to be flying along and here we are in august already!!!
So to my desk..
It's a bit jumbled today as i've had a couple of things on the go, The journal got a page colouring and then inspiration disappeared so that's why it's sat staring at me..
I've started to work on another project but it's just in the idea/see if it will work stage

Then there is an ever growing pile'o'stuff building up on the side...
And that's your lot, not hugely exciting.. Unlike the news I had at the beginning of the week {see this post if your nosey}
Right I must be off, I have a driving lesson in a bit and then lots of desks to hop round, So i'll catch ya later xx

Blog Neglect Again!

OK Come on who is stealing my time away!!! Was it you, or you, perhaps you at the back!!
Anyway I'll keep it short and sweet today as just wanted to share my father's day cards that I had forgotten to blog (on father's day!!)

Better late than never I say lol

 As you can see, I chose the same design but with slight changes to tailor fit each Dad.
