The canvas was created by inking it all over with a mix of the brown tone distress inks. I then stamped different clocks onto a sheet of tissue paper, i let this dry and then made a square on the same piece of tissue using the measure tape stamp from the Ephemera 1 plate roughly making the square so that when i wrapped it round the canvas the edges would be.. as seen below

'Canvas'ing for Time!
It's been ages since a did a mini canvas, but the need to get inky was strong so i went with it.
This is one of those times where you have an idea but it never quite goes to plan.. I thought i'd be clever and use one of my Mabel stamps and try and take a rubbing in metal, but being rubber it isn't as easy as i'd hoped and the whole thing nearly went in the bin, eventually with much much patients i got an image that looked almost like the stamp, i added colour in the form of sharpie pens to the metal to define the image further.
Once i'd stuck the tissue to the canvas using gel medium i smoothed it over very delicatly and added more medium over the top to seal it all. I let this dry.
I stuck the metal to the canvas using E600 and also added several actual small watch parts.
I wording was stamped onto a piece of torn cardboard and also glued on, with the finishing touch being a small chain to hang the piece.
All in all a fun afternoon was had although i really need a masterclass on metal use lol
Thanks for visiting x

Mabel Mini Domino Book
You know i just can't put down the fab range of Mabel stamps from The Artistic Stamper {more coming in nov}
But seeing as i'm really trying to get back into the altered side of my life i thought i 'd again combine the 2 so i altered a couple of dominoes and made them into an ickle book!
But seeing as i'm really trying to get back into the altered side of my life i thought i 'd again combine the 2 so i altered a couple of dominoes and made them into an ickle book!
I actually coloured the dominoes and the images with my copics, i wasn't sure if it would stay put on the dominoes surface but i let it dry well and it looks great, i was thinking about a coating of some sort but am scared of ruining it.. any suggestions of a good spray varnish anyone?? dont want something that i have to brush on in case it smears the images.
{sorry for the poor quality pics, t'was bad lighting when i took them}

Delayed Reaction Copycat!!
As much as i love this grungeboard purse project... it was not my own idea.. i saw a fab one created by Linda some weeks ago and just knew i wanted to give it a try.
I coloured my grungeboard with vintage photo distress inks, then stamped the fab artistic stamper houndstooth pattern over the entire piece, folded it to resemble a purse, and then punched the holes down either side with my BIA, i threaded together with string, which i also lightly coloured with ink.
I attached a clasp from my collection with eyelets to close, and embellished with some Tim Holtz idea-ology bits, i also made a grungepaper flower using the flower power stamp set and dotty background stamp also from AS,
The back i kept simple by adding a closed stamped zip.
Quite a simple but fun project to create.. why not give it a try yourself.. would make a nice little gift for someone perhaps!

Faux Mini Book and Pavapol Phaze 2
I've been playing again with my Mabel Lucie Attwell stamps.. but insteed of making just another card i wanted to try something different... I had just been playing about and made a matchbox book after seeing Hazels fab piece.. and while it was sat drying on my desk a little lightbulb appeared above my head.. and i knew the perfect ickle trouble maker to finish the piece.. and so i picked 'Scamp'... i stamped and coloured him with copics, cut him out and made a small cut in the book base to slot him in so he looks like he's leaping from the pages. Then it was a case of just adding his name using several different alphabet pieces and rubbing everything with vintage photo distress inks!
I think this piece is proper cute.. even if i do say so myself lol
...
I managed to complete phaze one of my pavapol project.. I constructed a wire frame and then wrapped tin foil around to give the piece shape...
As a few of you guessed, It is indeed a Tree, and it is going to be a jewellery hanger too.
Phaze 2 has started with me covering the frame with pavapoled fabric but at the minute i've run out of what i was using so need to have a scrounge about to see if i can find something simular to finish this phaze!!! wish me luck.. I think this piece may take a little while!

Work in progress!
It's not all cute these days in the land of the Minx... i know it may seem that way.. but i have been having a little altered tinker here and there.. to prove it I just thought i'd share a snippit of a little project i've started... Or rather quite a big project...
I came across a substance recently called Paverpol.. and an amazing use for it so i'm going to try and re-create what i saw as i thought it looked amazing!
This pic is phaze one... can you tell what it is!!!
Are you a bit baffled..
...oh well never mind!
