Canvas Club Pt 2 (well it started that way)
This canvas started out as another one for swapping but as i was making it, it started to take form and by the end it was a full on ME canvas lol, i can't explain it but sometimes things just make themselves (i don't mean literally, i'm not a witch or anything!!!)
Anyway, i thought that while i was in the process i would take some pics of actually making it not just the finished item, coz i wanted to play with my new camera aswell.....
Here is me hard at it... lol
I used the same sort of things for this canvas, stamps,
inks but added some dabber painted grungeboard and a sprinkle of embossing powder too.
And here is what i made and am KEEPING ALL FOR ME LOL :op

The Canvas Club
The Canvas Club was started by me so i could feed my new addiction, Basically i have set up a thing with my Angels to do 1- 2- 1 canvas swap's as i feel i shall be making many of these little works of art, and this is the perfect solution as not only am i getting to create and getting all inky but i also recieve a fab canvas in return to decorate the walls of my craft room.
Hers is my first offering...
I used a selection of my new Basic Grey & Fancy Pants stamps.
I used distress inks in worn lipstick & broken china for the background and vintage photo & shabby shutters combined for the branchs, the same colours were used for the owl and birds. I used a black archival ink for the lines and distressing edging, and wrote the verse with a deep pink and then black sharpie marker. Finished with a few drops of glossy accents on the birds, and some felt mini shapes with gems for a bit of added bling, and a flower to finish, just because i like to have some touchy feeliee detail......
Now i wonder who the reciepant will be?

Canvas Birthday
There seems to be something in the air as everyone is going canvas crazy, and i'm no exception.
Having made my first (which will be showcased next month, due to it being a pressie for someone) i quickly needed an excuse to make another.. hay presto a crafty buddy who had given me one of her canvas creations was having a birthday.
And here is the result...
I used the date of her birthday along with her name to make it personal, The canvas was coloured using distress inks and stamped with a flourish or two, i used an old bingo counter and old key, along with some scrabble tiles, bottle top and wood letters amoungst other things to embellish. All in all i am super chuffed with how it came out, and i hear today that Tina loved it too, which is whats important.

A few of my favourite things
Hay no sound of music singing!!!
I thought that as i started this blog to showcase some of my favourite pieces i best add some lol
The following are projects i have completed in the past year or so.
This is the very first domino i altered, i used Alcohol inks as a base, then stamped an image using stazon and to finish coated in glossy accents, threaded some cord through the holes i had made to create a necklace, with a little added charm to disguise the fact that i drilled the hole wonky lol

This was made after seeing the idea in one of Tim Holtz's distressables books, i used Blank frame charms, filled them with not only photo's but also wording spread across to read Family.
This was made as a gift for my OH's Mum.
It started out plain and i used distress inks, stamping and glossy accents, as well as a few embelishments to turn it into an oriental style keepsake case.
Inside i made a little space to put little photo's and such.
I am so pleased how this turned out, so much so that i nearly kept it it was a christmas gift for my friend)

Altered Pocket Watch
I wanted to make a special something for a fairly new but very dear friend, who has been a true inspiration to me and was the one who started me on my Altered Journey.
I decided to alter a pocket Watch, having found the perfect one on ebay, I removed the clock workings and filled with a selection of things that i thought represented what i wanted to say.
I'm extreamly happy with how this piece turned out,
and Hels had said she is Over the Moon with it, so that makes it all worth while.
